problems? What problems?
Complex Problems …
… are not a Problem
Greetings. I’m Jim Bosco, the principal here at the Center for Advanced Cognitive Performance. I was once an engineer, then a lawyer, inside sales, IT guy, GM, president & CEO, founder, etc. My diverse background allows me to specialize in finding elegant solutions to complex problems. That’s what I do. I’m a fixer. You need me. That’s why you’re here.
You’re going to call me. Maybe you don’t know it yet. That’s okay. So for now, keep reading.
Experience matters
You Wouldn’t
Believe Me if I Told You
I started my adult life sitting in a rowboat for 2 or 3 hours at a crack wave bobbing and getting sunburned on Lake Michigan. Being a beach lifeguard taught me about people, structure, bureaucracy, and the advantages of higher education. (Ask me about the floater.)
After college I landed in the engineering department at a Fortune 150 pharmaceutical conglomerate. I gave power-point presentations to the C-suite, had shrimp and beers with the CEO, won several awards, but five years was enough. Law school. Then a bunch of interesting gigs for some very cool people. Here’s a very short list of some fun stuff I accomplished:
- Hostile takeover of a SAAS company via proxy fight (for a client.) Had to fire the owner and his wife from a company he founded. (Business ain’t always pretty.)
- Purchased a database of 66M names, addresses, & emails. Built an email deployment platform which was able to send 2M emails per day. Wrote custom polling software for respondents to take surveys.
- Spent several months traveling through China teaching factory owners how to market their products on Amazon and other online marketplaces.

We Focus on The fundamentals
Key Word Being FOCUS
If you’re old enough to remember, in the early 90’s there was a craze where people would buy these wall posters which didn’t look like anything, just squiggles of ink, but if you stood back and relaxed your eyes, they would focus THROUGH the poster and you would see a whale or the space shuttle or something.
It’s not hard, it’s impossible to see everything that’s going on in your business. That’s because in no small part, your office is not a place of rest and relaxation. So how can you relax your eyes to see what’s really happening? You can’t.
Bring in a new set of eyes. Bring in a relaxed, experienced set of eyes. Let’s us show you what we see. You’ll be amazed. I promise.

From Our Founder
Make Your Own Opportunities
When I was 22 years old, in college, waiting tables for beer money and tuition, I willed myself a brand new Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Looking back it was not easy, but it wasn’t hard either. If you want something bad enough the amount of effort that must go into it is irrelevant. I feel much the same way about the 4 marathons I’ve run, law school, and becoming a private pilot. Sure there is sacrifice & suffering. There may even be some (considerable) pain. But if you are determined to reach your goal, the amount of effort is insignificant.
The point of this is that anything is possible. It’s just a matter of will. So I ask you, what are you willing to do to be successful?
(btw, this photo to the right is not me. I have a face for radio and this woman does not. So I kept her instead of replacing the photo.)
